SSC Junior Translator Exam Pattern

Scheme of Examination- Written examination will consist of two papers, viz.

Paper I-

(a) General Hindi : 100 marks (Objective type)
(b) General English : 100 marks (Objective type)

Paper-II-

Translation and Essay: 200 Marks (Conventional Type)

Maximum marks allotted to each paper and the duration of each paper will be as under-

Note I

Paper-I will consist of Objective Type- Multiple choice questions only. Paper-II shall be evaluated in respect of only those candidates, who attain the minimum qualifying standard in Paper-I or part thereof as may be fixed at the discretion of the Commission.

Note II

Candidates are not permitted to use Mobile Phone, Calculator or any other electronic/electrical device for answering any paper (Test Booklets).

Note III

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I.

Part II

Personality Test/ Interview- Personality test will be held for 100 Marks. The interview will be held at the Commission’s Regional /Sub-Regional Offices or at any other place as decided by the Commission.
